QATV
Course Offerings
The
QATV training program is now organized into two tracks: Studio Production
and Field Production. Based on areas of interest, students can take
the entire track or select areas of interest within the track.
Orientation
to Television
- A
one-session introduction to QATV and the services offered, including
responsibilities of membership. This class will introduce you to
public access television and give you the “rules of the road.”
Prerequisite for all classes.

Studio Production
Let's
Produce TV
- This
six-session class offers training for Studio A and Studio B productions.
Students will learn how to produce a show from pre-production to
production. Techniques taught include developing a treatment, a
script, set design, and all crew positions (camera, audio, graphics)
and how piece them together to create a program. 6

all the lessons from studio production a step further! Learn more
about how Studio A and Studio B can be used for your show! 6

Production
Portable
Production (Camcorder/ENG)
- Learn
how to use a digitial camcorder (Canon GL-2) and all the skills
for basic field productions, then learn how to create quality video
productions quickly and easily with Adobe Premiere Pro non-linear
editing software. Portable Production is a hands-on class to gain
a basic knowledge of QATV's camcorders and professional filming
and editing techniques. 4 class sessions

Premiere Pro 1.5 and how to add some extra zing to your production!

Audio Techniques -
Need to know what microphone to use? How about where to place the
microphone? Does the audio board look too confusing? Advanced Audio
Techniques will go in depth so you can pick the right mic and get
the best audio possible. 1 class session

Lighting Techniques -
You've produced a show but want to add some extra flare to your
studio set? Out in the field and your talent just doesn't look right?
