The Olympic Experience
QATV's Jonathan Caliri is going to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. Read about his Olympic experience leading up to and while at the Games.
Curling: Take 2
Today was my second venture into the world of Olympic Curling. Today was also the second time experiencing the disappointment of a late game American letdown.
Session 3 of men's curling took place at 2pm with the USA taking on Switzerland, Great Britain vs France, Germany vs Sweden and China va Denmark. Great Britain and China both won their matches easily, while Sweden won their match on the last stone thrown.
Touchdown Vancouver!
It's Day 2 of the Winter Olympics and I've arrived in Vancouver. After a long flight from
the east coast to Seattle (and more than my fair share of turbulence to go along with it), I was glad to walk around the airport before picking my rental car.
Olympic Games Not Just on NBC
Like millions of people across the world, I'll be watching the 2010 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony tomorrow night. NBC, the network with exclusive TV rights to the Olympic Games, usually does a good job covering a variety of events, while mixing in features on various athletes from various countries.
Warm Weather in Vancouver
Rain is the forecast this coming weekend in Vancouver. So is warmer weather. For people familiar with the Pacific Northwest, that may not seem to unusual. However, the warm, rainy weather could have a huge impact on the Olympic games.
Who Leads the Pack?
What country has won the most medals in the Winter Olympics? Most people, incuding myself, would guess the United States or Russia, but neither sit atop the list of most Winter Olympic medals. So who leads the pack?

The Tickets Have Arrived!
My tickets for the Olympics arrived today! There was a delay in the shipping of my tickets due to a mixup at CoSport, the official ticket agent of the Olympic games in the United States. The staff was very helpful when I called just over a week ago stating I had yet to receive the tickets.
X Games a Preview of Olympics
I just saw some highlights of the Winter X Games on ESPN. Shaun White, the American snowboarder, won the gold medal with some unbelievable moves. The amazing thing about White's performance was he crashed (and by crash I mean he landed on his face at the top of the halfpipe) during warm-ups, but decided he was still going to compete, not sit out and wait until Vancouver.
Simpsons + Curling = Olympics
I like The Simpons. I also like curling. Now I may get to see both while in Vancouver!
Homer, Marge to curl into Olympics
Olympic News Feeds
If you're curious about what's happening at the Olympics (and some of the news leading upto the Games too), take a look at some of the feeds to the right of my posts. I've assembled a few feeds that I like and think give a good variety of stories.
15 Days and Counting
There are just 15 days until the Olympics get under way and the excitement builds as it gets closer. I was looking through some of my bookmarks about the Olympics the other day and I stumbled upon this release from the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee. The release, from June 2009, unveiled the ticket design for the Games. The day I&n
Let the Games Begin!
The 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver are just 24 days away and I'm getting very excited.
I usually don't get very excited for the Olympics, but things are different this time; I will be one of the thousands of fans from across the world in Vancouver attending the games.
